Let's discuss your needs and my approach
I have been in the helping professions for over a decade. During that time have gathered knowledge and honed a style of helping that allows my patients feel seen, heard, validated, and safe while we look at patterns that are getting in the way of the life and relationships they desire. My professional training as a Social Worker helps me to assess and support my patients as whole people. I don't just look at symptoms or behaviors, but work on understanding the many factors that contribute to the conflicts, patterns, and circumstances my patients are coping with. I find that this helps us get to the heart of the problem and back on the path to healing and connection.

Relationship and Trauma Expertise
My career has been focused around relationships and trauma for over a decade. During that time I have worked with individuals, couples and families seeking to heal and find meaning in their stories. I have sought training in evidence-based treatments, proven to relieve symptoms and increase happiness and fulfillment in relationships.
The therapeutic techniques I use most include; Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. I have the background and experience to help you clarify your goals for therapy and to recommend an approach I think will help you achieve the results that you are looking for.

How long will therapy take?
The length of therapy depends on a variety of factors; such as the intensity of your symptoms, the types of patterns playing out, and your goals for therapy. I typically see my patients feeling much better within 3 to 6 months when attending weekly sessions. Those using Accelerated Resolution Therapy for trauma tend to see symptom relief in 1 to 5 sessions.
Do you take insurance?
I am not in network with insurance companies. However, you may be able to use your out-of-network benefits with insurance to cover sessions. Use the benefit checking tool on my home page to check your benefits. Feel free to reach out to me directly for any questions about insurance.
What is the process for getting started with therapy?
Reaching out to me for a brief (15-20 minute) phone consultation is the first step to get started. After that we will meet for an intake session, create goals, and discuss a plan to help you get to where you would like to go in therapy.
